I bought a battery at canadian tire and it works for a bit but does not hold its charge i took it to active green and ross and they changed the alternator for 600$ and they told me it was because it was a canadian tire battery so im probably going to buy a yellow top from optima or would it be the wiring to the battery?
hey sorry i put all the 4 batterys from canadian tire because they were all under warrenty and i got it checked and they needed to be replaced so i didnt pay for the battery that's why im thinking mabey a nother brand of battery would work and i did need a new alternator regardless because i screwed up and blew my old one when i was reinstalling it after the shop told me it was good lol that was a waste of 600$

You mean you put FOUR different batteries in, or you had to charge the same battery four times?
Whichever way it was you have a drain in the circuit that is killing the battery., the guys that did the alternator should have run a diagnostic and tracked down the problem.
There is no reason even a cheap NEW battery should drain in that way.
I would take it back to Canadian Tire and get them to test it, if the cells all hold a charge and show full voltage then the problem is still within the wiring loom of your Jeep.
If the battery IS faulty then they should replace it and it means you maybe didn't need that new alternator.

it could be that alternater i had the same problem i replaced my wires the alternater and the battery to a red top optima best one you could have. Try to do the wiring to your battery and then if that doesnt work then you should take it to advanced auto parts and they can help i worked there and they are the best they will be able to figure it out.
