a transmission problem? Car turned on fine. Roughly 40 degrees outside and rainy. I am parked on a slope, the passenger side is about a foot right than the driver side. The shifter will move to reverse, neutral, drive but neither drive or reverse catches. It's as if it's in neutral.
There are no indicator lights or alerts present. I've let the car run for 10+ minutes to heat up and the shifting still won't catch on reverse or drive.
Haven't yet checked the transmission fluid level. Checked to see if there were any leaks under the car, and there is none.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what to check before I freak out that my transmission is shot?
