I replaced the Idle air control valve and the vehicle started cold without gas pedal pressure as it should. But after warming the engine and then letting it sit for a short while, the engine would not start again without gas pedal depressed. Inspection of the IAC showed that the pintle was fully extended blocking air flow into the throttle body. Pushing the pintle back and replacing the IAC then allows the engine to start cold again. Then the problem occurs again after running the engine to operating temps and stopping it for awhile. I have tried three IACs so that is not the problem. The Coolant Temp sensor tests good. I have NO error codes. I have tried disconnecting the battery and following supposed computer reset procedures I have come across. I think it is a faulty sensor of some sort. One day no probelm, next day no cold start. Something just stopped functioning. Any ideas?

thanks
