Jeep cherokee, shocks or struts?

I have a 1993 jeep cherokee. I have noticed that my steering wheel is kinda loose. I have just ignored it, but the other day when I went on the freeway, I could not control my steering wheel with my tires. My friend said that it might be shocks or struts. Is she right? I need an honest opinion. Thanks

please bring it to have looked at. Its a safety issue. could be low tire pressure. tie rod end, ball joints, steering box.if its a ball joint and it breaks, it will tear up alot of stuff. You really dont want to wait if u are unable to control. Especially a 93. could have multiple things going.
