I bought a 1998 jeep cherokee with 90,000 miles on it yesturday in boonton nj. i drove the car home to upstate ny and the overheat light came on and seconds later the vehicle completely turned off while driving and rolled to a stop in a driving lane. luckily i was able to get the car started quickly to move out of the lane, but it overheated and tuned off 4 more times. we have the the jeep at a mechanic who is going to tell us what is wrong with it. i bought the jeep without warranty, do i still qualify for the lemon law, and what should be my next step.

Lemon laws apply to New cars . Used cars are sold as , " AS Is " .unless otherwise noted . That's why when I buy a used car write on the bill of sale , Brakes for 90 day's . or what ever your concerned about .
