We have a 96 Jeep Cherokee that started over heating. When it gets hot, the engine would stall. We decided to replace the thermostat and it still started to get hot (about half way on the temp gauge), but it is still stalling. Any ideas? Could this be a head gasket?

Are you losing coolant?? Is your reservoir full? If it's empty then you may be getting air into the system. If you are losing coolant it's possible you have a head gasket leak, or a water pump going out.
It's also possible that your fan(s) are not working properly.
And finally, it's also possible that your due for a new radiator. Improper maintenance can cause failure.
