Jeep broke down on me today.?

ok just driving down the road today in my jeep cherokee and it just stops and I wasn't able to get it started again. Friend says it's not getting any fire. Any suggestions on what it could be?
98 jeep cherokee 4.0 v6 4x4
 
My car did the same thing , lost power to the computer witch shut down the fuel injectors, fuel pump and timing.
 
if no spark the next question is was the alternator charging or were you running off the battery. if the latter the engine electronics will shut down at 10 volts. complte shut down can come from a ground disconecting, the ignition switch braking inside or a major fuse blowing out. this calls for troubleshooting from the battery back. a bad connection at the starter may cause it as well
