JBL GTO 638 Speakers

Just got a pair of them today, haven't installed them yet; waiting on the adapters. They were about the only 3 way/2 ohm speaker I could find at a reasonable price and having run JBL's before (in truck), I do think they're a pretty good speaker, just don't know anyone that's installed them on a bike.
They're rated at 60 watts RMS, 180 peak and what I'm wondering is how efficient they are and if the HK unit is gonna be enough to power them or is there an amp in my future? I'm kinda referencing this in my mind as changing cams and not doing the heads! Any advice is appreciated

Those are good speakers for the price...have them in my car and they will definately be a big improvement over the HD stockers in your fairing.

Right now i have the "sister" speakers --Infinity Kappa 3-way 6.5 inchers, also made by Harmon Kardon in my fairing, and the 5.5 Kappa 3-way in the rears. Very noticeable sound change over the factory speakers....still, I think the JBL speakers seem to have more "bottom" and deeper bass delivery?... just my 2 cents worth. OK
