I need help picking out a song to play in my Jazz class.. what I need to do is find a jazz song (from like 20's-70's) and take a solo and learn it by ear on my Tenor Sax.
my problem is I need help picking out a song.
I really want to impress my teacher but I don't want to choose a song that will be way too difficult for me (I've never done this before)
all I have to learn is the solo, but I have no idea what songs would be good to try to learn.
she was suggesting some Coltrane, any ideas along with that?
