Jaws

I agree, I know we can do wonders with sgi these days, but IMO you could never capture the magic of the film. The actors, the feel of the film. Leave it alone.. Thats's what I say :)

Why, oh why do ITV stop films in the middle, for a lousy 15 minutes i might add, for the news! it infuriates me so much! In this day and age with so many news channels its so not necessary, especially when its just a re-hash of the dews from earlier in the day! newsflashes i can understand.
Anyway, Jaws is a fantastic film, brilliantly acted and one of my personal favourites! :D

Its a very good film, with as mentioned and excellent pacing, false shocks to throw the audience of the scent etc.

My only questions about the film were how different it would have been had technology allowed them a working anamatronic shark from the start of filming. I sometimes wonder if the film would have suffered by showing too much of the shark in the early parts, rather then using the methoRAB in the film and filming at water level so you can only imagine whats underneath until the end of the film when they bring the shark into play. Too me the film was more suspenseful after hiding the shark for the first half.

I have got to get the DVD.

I agree with you about the suspense bigstunnerdude. And the water level view.

I just dont think they could make another film like that these days. I think these days they tend to work more on the cgi than the actual story of the film.

I love the film but towarRAB the end it got a bit boring and repeatative. The shark looks so stupid now,i can't belive i was scared when i was little.
