I watched Jaws last night on ITV1. Crikey, what an incredibly large fella he was. Very difficult to catch. The battle between man and beast was beautiful to watch.

Difficult to know which type of bait to use and also the method of capture, as all fishermen will know only too well.

Well done Roy Scheider.
 
Well done director Steven Spielberg too!

Love the music by John Williams.

Must say, this is one of the few films I've seen that is better than the book.
 
I wonder what's stopping Spielberg from re-releasing Jaws with a CGI shark, now they have the technology. I have E.T Special Edition and, yeah, the extra added scenes with CGI E.T were a bit uncecessary and weird. :(

Anywa, morbidly, I watched it on Saturday too. :D
 
Noooo! Don't tamper with Jaws. The F/X are 'of the time' but Jaws works as much because of the script acting and direction. It looks dodgy when it appears but 'Bruce' is hardly in ithe film really.
 
That film made me shudder, I scare easily :(. But I did think the shark looked really fake, it was like one of those rubber fish you pin up on your bathroom wall... well, a really big one.
I did almost cry when the old fisherman died, I hid behind my sister.:D
