Jaws

I don't get why this film is so popular. It's got a dull story line that dosen't make sense at all, i mean sharks don't just attack like that and it dosen't even explain why the shark went a bit nutty. Its too long and the lack of intresting story line is just about far to boring for watching. It's not a good movie tbh and by the end of the film it was just spinning on ridculous, think about it how could they swim back to sure with sharks like that in thier sea (they were in the deep aswell). I don't mind the plastic shark and the docutmentary images (i think) of real shark footage underwater. It's just it lacks in most important aspects to make a good film.
 
Why don't we have a poll to see how many people like Jaws and how many people DON'T like Jaws ?

Because when it came out in the 70's people didn't know that much about sharks, so this film scared the crap out of them, it's a movie of it's time. Considering there was no CGI at the time I think it still stanRAB up well.

I saw it on TV in the early eighties when I was about 10 and it gave me sleepless nights for weeks.
 
I think Jaws is a brilliant film. I was too young too see it when it first got released but I've seen it a few times on tv.
I think I'm alone in being the only one who actually felt sorry for Jaws...
 
Oh please god don't even say that.

I have horrible images now of the shark having a CGI furry pal that rides around on the his back.
 
I love it though some parts are scary. I think Jaws 2 is the best one. My Accounting department at uni is full of sharks I think :D Well they act like sharks. In fact maybe a new Jaws movie should be filmed there with said lecturers dressed in shark costumes running after the students.
