Just curious of what you guys think of Javier Bardem? I thing he is a very talented actor. His Oscar for "No country for old men" was truly deserved IMO but he was even better in "Before the night falls". Amazing performances.
What do you think?

'No country for old men' was the first film I'd ever seen him in and I was so impressed. Since then I've tried to watch more of his films. 'Before Night Falls' is amazing and yet another diverse role is 'Goya's Ghosts'. Most recently I've watched 'Love in the time of Cholera', it was nothing as I expected - very funny and touching.

The scene in No Country... where he makes the old petrol store owner "call it" is one of the most uncomfortable and menacing performances I've seen. The guy was superb in that movie. He completely owned it.

When I first saw trailers for No Country I didnt realise it was Javier Bardem. I thought it was the guy who played the big brother in Everybody Loves Raymond. I remember thinking, that's quite a change of direction for him. :o
