Java and WMP on 8700g?

Just got my 8700g and am really happy so far.

Two questions, though:
1. Even though the Java application said it was loaded on the BB when I set up the desktop software, I'm trying to use an Java applet to access live scoring on my fantasy football site (sportsline.com), and it doesn't seem to be allowing the applet to start. Any ideas on this?

2. Is there some kind of video player software I can add on as an application to watch web videos? Most of the stuff on my site are wmv files. any hope of watching them on the 8700g?

Im not sure about you first question right now,but as to the second there is no way to play .wmv files with the 8700g's current OS 4.1.x.x, hopefully they will release the 4.2 OS for the 8700 soon.
 
Did the Application information specifically state that it was compatible with the 8700 Blackberry? Does it give an error message? If so, what error is it showing?

Rcbjr,

There are no error messages - the scores just don't show up at all, which means the aplet hasn't started. everything's there on the page, but it doesn't load or refresh like a web page on my pc.
 
vanuva, Are you talking about an applet on a website, or and Application that runs on your BB and accesses the data on a website? If the latter, did is specify that it compatible with your specific Blackberry?

If the former, it may have to do with your browser settings, or the BB Browser may not support that applet.
