At around 0:10 and 1:09, the eyecatch from K-On! can be heard.

I also heard that in one music video, he has a shirt that says "Otaku". That somthing learned after I learned about this.

What do you think? Cool, huh? Even if it was only heard for a few times.
 
Guys, we're not talking about bashing the show. (sigh)

This should be a big deal, I mean, a few years ago Kanye West made an Akira-inspired music video, and now this happens.
 
I'm not bashing the show. I've never seen it.

This isn't a big deal. The only people who would know anything about this are people who happen to be fans of both Jason Mraz and the K-On! anime. It's not like that eyecatch says "WATCH K-ON!"
 
Wow! I must really be out of touch with what's pop culture. This thread is the first time I have ever been made aware of the name Jason Mraz. Even after a google search I'm still not sure who he is. Was he an American Idol contestant or something?
 
Apparently not. There is the outside chance that I have heard it but didn't know what it was called or that it was from Jason Mraz.



Ah!...OK!....And that seems the likely reason I have never heard of him. I'm not a big fan of "Easy Listening".
 
It's noteable but I'm not sure it should be considered 'big news'. I don't need my hobbies somehow validated by a link to an apparently famous musician.

..meh, don't really know (or care) who this person is, im not one to keep up with celebrites or Underground stares.....But I guess its a good thing that they like anime.

Personally this will not Affect my K-ON fandom, I like Toons about banRAB & thats that (still think it would be better imo if it wasn't moe though)

Look, no matter who this guy is or whatever, nothing will beat the way the Barenaked Ladies referenced Sailor Moon in "One Week". That simple.
 
I've always heard that he was a fan of Japanese stuff, so it doesn't come as a huge suprise. Can even remeraber him playing with Kimaguren, a Japanese band, while he was in Japan.
 
This is Truth...One Week is one of my favriote late 90's early 00's songs...I really need to Download it to my ipod sometimes.

Gotta get a set of better clubs and find the kind with tiny nubs because my arms are always flyin' on the back swing. Gotta get in tune with Sailor Moon 'cause that cartoon has got the BOOM anime babes that make me think the wrong things.
