plus in 6 months the lower production costs (one would THINK they would drop, anyway) could even make it so they'll be turning a profit even at the lower selling price. at this point i just don't think it makes sense for them to lower the price and lose even more money on each system sold.
 
I agree. The PS3 will still have the best variety of games. All the 360 will have is a bunch of shooters, and I don't see Nintendo straying away from the kiddie market. Also, if you wanna play MGS4, FF13, Devil May Cry 4, God of War 3, Shadow of the Colossus 2, or Gran Turismo 5 they're only gonna be on PS3.

And although Blu-Ray isn't big now, it will be. Once more people get HDTV's, people will realize DVDs look like absolute shit and the Blu-Ray market will take off and so will PS3 sales. HD-DVD won't be much of a competitor after this year, since Universal is the only studio not to go to Blu-Ray and Blu-Ray has like 10x more titles announced than HD-DVD does this year...
 
LOL. Don't count on it......we all know how long it took before the PS2 got a price drop. With Sony losing money on each PS3 console sale I don't think they'd want to make it worse.
 
I still plan on getting one, and really, getting one sooner still doesn't change the fact that the games I want for it are 6-9months away. That and the Wii is getting a price drop in spring.
 
The ps3 systems are region free. Games and movies are region free at the developer/publishers disgression. However, if you have a Japanese ps3 you can currently only play on Japanese game servers for multiplayer. There has been talk of that being removed though.
