WTF???
What if I told you that in the world today, a country had laws which mandated limits for the weight of their citizens????
> The law requires the waistlines of certain demographics of citizens to be measured once every year.
> The law mandates that citizens not meeting the government's requirements would be forced to attend weight-management classes.
> The law provides for financial penalties for citizens who continue to fail the measurements.
The country I am speaking of by the way, is Japan.
Questions:
Would you consider this opressive and unjust, or do you think such laws are fitting and acceptable?
Do you think that government should even have the power to create/enforce such laws?
Do you think that any health benefit from this could outweigh the severe blow to personal liberties that such laws have?
