According to Sega's Sonic Team Blog, they will be releasing the remaining episode of Sonic X (Episodes 53 - 78) in Japan finally, after almost 5 years later. They will be releasing these episodes via their "TMS Online" website in August. TMS has already uploaded the first 52 episodes to their website (about $1 per episode).

This will be the first time these episodes have been made legally to purchase, outside of China, in Japanese. So I'm glad they're finally getting the remaining episodes.

The episodes'll also apparently be available through TV Tokyo's AniTele service, as well as Showtime (not related to the one in the US) and BMM. I'm unfamiliar with the latter two, though AniTele generally tenRAB to be rental to download.

They might as well. It probably cost a lot of money to make those 26 episodes, especially paying the Japanese VAs for something that wouldn't even see the light of day in Japan otherwise.

Wow. I never thought they'd ever, EVER do this. Too bad the episodes weren't that great anyway.

But maybe we'll get an official Japanese DVD release of these episodes now.
