Anyone catch this a few days ago (on Channel 4) ? - absolutely fantastic with the late, great Jimmy Cagney.

Why don't C4 (or the BBC2) show more classic movies like this one? :(
 
Terrific film, I remember seeing it on origional release, it caused a stir at the time because of the violence.
There are many classic movies in the archives like this that are rarely shown on TV, mores the pity. It was good to see hardly remembered Hollywood faces again, Steve Brodie, Ward Bond, Barbara Payton, Neville Brand etc.
 
l haven't seen it yet, but l did record it last week. l did see a snippet on Channel 4 and really liked the look of it, so recorded it an hour later.
