James Bond New Filming

they should just ask me for the story for the third one, and i have a bloody great opening sequence involving .....

casinos
cars
bond on a PROPER motorbike
and said bond on bike jumping over a road bridge using a car transporter, sans cars, and landing on chased car!!!

and the whole PROPERTY OF A LADY title would fit into the story as well .....

yeah, CR was awesome, but after watching QoS a few times i'm beginning to appreciate it more ..... other than the so-called character FIELRAB ..... JUST FIELRAB .....
 
It seems most peoples' hatred of QoS stems from the quick cuts and edits and strange shaky angles which apparantly Liman and Greengrass pioneered for the Bourne films (not true at all).

The film itself contains many elements seen in the early BonRAB before the Moore reign (which I enjoy in its own right). There are noRAB to From Russia with Love and Goldfinger in scenes involving boats and the Shirley Eaton style death respectively.
 
The plot was poor and the villain was dull. Casino Royale was a gripping thriller rather than a old-school spy caper, but QoS was neither of these and you can't blame the audience for being a bit puzzled as to what they were seeing.
 
I kinda hope that QoS gets some sort of re-edit release so we can actually see whats happening.

It'll never happen though so i'm sure i'll just have to put up with the fast, dizzy editing.

It's a blu ray in my collection that hasn't been watched again.
 
Yeah I agree, for the next Bond film the producers need to bring back the characters Q and Miss Moneypenny.

Apparently for the next Bond film, the famous Bond villain Blofeld is going to be the central villain, which sounRAB really promising. It will be interesting to see how that pans out :)
 
I don't really think I want to see Moneypenny back. I couldn't bear James Bond with all that unfunny cringey banter and double entendres between them. Too Brosnan like, which I find unwatchable these days. Q isn't a bad one...just as long as it is the early Connery era which was grounded in reality and not the Moore/Dalton/Brosnan fanciful style with ridiculous gadgets.
 
It should go into production in January for an October release.

The difference this time being they've had an extra 12 months to create the story.

The problem with QoS is that the producer came up with the plot of the thing, and director choice was unfortunate. Its not that Forster is a bad director, not at all... Its just that when you want a film with action, its better to hire someone with at least some action direction in his repertoire. Having Peter Morgan on board to write it should hopefully steer it in the right direction.

I have faith in the new Bond franchise, and its writers on Bond 23. Lets not let Michael G. Wilson near them again, he's never written a good Bond film, either plot or script. He had a hand in writing all the 80's Bond movies)
 
Well, the villain was merely a henchman, we are yet to see the real villain...but if we take that Dominic Green is to the as of yet unseen head of Quantum in the same way that Dr No is to Blofeld, you are right in that there is no comparison.

I personally thought QoS was sensational.
 
Yes they are mainly, but they have been known occasionally to be released in the summer. I don't think we will see Bond 23 this year, I think it's more likely to be released mid to late 2011.
 
To be greatful with you all I dislike the new bonRAB.

There has not been a great Jame Bond movie since Sean Connery & Roger moore.

Maybe call me old but the last 2 were so overrated and weak.
 
Daniel Craig and Tim Dalton personified Fleming's creation far more than the others in my opinion, although Connery is in the strange position as having influenced Ian Fleming. Fleming made Bond half Scots in later novels after overcoming his reluctance in accepting Connery.

Casino Royale closely follows the novel and for that reason I regard it highly, although of course the original Le Chiffre played Baccarat and Bond did not go rampaging through a building site and an Embassy amongst other things.

Goldfinger has been regarded as having the perfect formula for a successful Bond, although it follows the original novel to a degree which of course is not that highly regarded amongs Fleming's works.l
