James Bond Movies in Blu-Ray

With Zavvi selling off their blu ray DVD stock reasonably cheap these days, I decided to buy my favourite Bond movie of all time "From Russia With Love" to add to my only other Bond in Blu Ray "Casino Royale."

Watching it yesterday afternoon, my jaw dropped at the superb quality of this disc. It was like watching a brand new movie, after all the movie was made in 1964 i think.

And the soundtrack is great too!! I have a 7:1 surround system, arent I the lucky one then? :D:D:D

James Bond fans who have blu-ray players, grab them while you can.
 
As with the Ultimate Edition dvd's its the first 3 films where the upgrade really shows up.

Goldfinger is out in March.

I remember when I first saw my Ultimate Edition Dr No - it looked like it had been made yesterday! Given that my PS3 upscales the DVRAB, I'm wondering how much better a bluray disc would look ... the discs do sound like a good bargain though, perhaps I should treat myself.
 
Even the best upscaling will not match the genuine HD of the Blurays.

Worth noting that the "inside" documentaries have been remastered into 16:9 with genuine HD images most of the way through and interview segments are now pillarboxed
