Step 1

Download the the required stuff linked at the bottom.

Step 2

Install iOS 4 on your iPhone 3G. you need iTunes 9.2 beta to do that.

Step 3

1. Run the downloaded redsn0w 0.9.5 beta.
2. Hit the Browser button. Select the iOS 4 GM IPSW file.
3. Check mark Cydia and hit next button.
4. Check mark Enable Multitasking and Wallpaper

Hey,
I was able to jailbreak the Iphone 3g IOS4 but when I clicked on the Cydia app all of the apple apps that come with the iphone (Safari, Iphone, Phone, Messages, Settings...) were deleted. The Cydia app deleted as well, all I can see now are the apps I have download from Itunes suchs as Facebook and Pandora.

What do I need to do to fix this problem?
 
Jailbroken & unlocked but still not hactivated!! 3G (4.0)
I can use only T-mobile!!

Any idea?

try resetting the phone by holding the home and sleep/wake button together untill it turns off automatically and u c the apple logo release it ......i guess it wil help u if not den u have to end up restoring it wid itunes.....
 
then use the redsn0w the iphone go to recovery mode
flash 4.0 ok
activation whit original sim ok
jailbreack whit redsn0w no ok

i dont agree with u i unlock my iphone 3g today without not using any activated sim with red snow
1st step i resore d iphone with 4.o firmware
with itune 9.2
2nd step i run red snow version 0.9.5b5

put sim card of any network u see no service dont worry
run this unlock ms dos batch file
after dat rebot d iphone now full network.

But on 3gs he did not work 4 it i have tested it not working.
