Jackie Chan/Jet Li film: Forbidden Planet

My hubby woud love to watch this film, having seen it advertised during trailers for other films. On Wikipedia the UK release date was 11 July, did any one see this film, did it show at any of the mulitplexes? We have seen that the DVD comes out in Nov, but just wondered if anyone had seen it and what they thought.

Forbidden Kingdom.

LOVED it.

It was like chop socky kung-fu distilled through 1980s Stephen Spielberg.

A great family film, with better choreographed fight and wirework sequences than I have ever seen in a western made film.

Saw it. Really liked it.

Very 80's movie in some ways but lots of fun. The fight choreography was excellent and Chan vs Li really was worth the admission alone.

Yep, sorry, I did mean Forbidden Kingdom...it is half way through the six week holiday!!

Glad there were some positive comments, I think hubby will definitely get the DVD once it's out (so long as it's not the same week Kung Fu Panda is released, that's now a family favourite, we saw it for the 2nd time today!)

Have you seen Legend of Drunken Master (aka Drunken Master 2 - 1994)? It's one of the greatest films ever made.
