Jackhammers rant against conformity

The irresistible sound of Van Morrison's music.

And has anyone found a thread about...something along the lines of "weirdest song you've ever heard"
Does it exist?

True, but it's a lot more confined to the specific thread than it was a few months ago, and it's mostly me, Sweet Nothing, and a few others with all of the posts.

I personally can't stand reggae, but I see a lot of this. In the real world it's Bob Marley's greatest hits, and some Ziggy Marley song.

Yep.

See Comus' abortion of a thread.

Guilty as charged.

I think I posted in there once to say 'I like the BenRAB' or something.

Yep.

I suppose. Still doesn't stop me trying though :)

I think I've openly admitted to liking a few too many of Paul McCartney's solo albums. I think everyone knows I'm a fan of the kind of Americana and country rock that makes certain sets of ears bleed as well. I like Oasis as well.

This actually bothers me a lot. There were some kiRAB at the skatepark talking about how much they were obsessed with reggae while they were smokin their weed with their rasta shirts. I asked them about artists other than marley they liked and they said that he was the only good reggae artist out there. And then started talking about how I didn't understand his music. I asked then what recorRAB by him they owned... only Legend of course. I own his first two albums on vinyl. And his entire collection on mp3. So **** you kiRAB.

I would give up everything I own for that.

OK maybe not everything, maybe all those crappy grunge albums I bought in the mid 90s.

CONFORMITY TAKES OVER ALL ASPECTS OF THE EARTH INCLUDING AND NOT LIMITED TO MUSIC
CONFORMITY IS IN OUR BONES. OUR ANCESTORS LIVED IN TRIBES AND THRIVED OFF SYCRONICITY. IN THE MODERNDAY WORLD, WE FOLLOW HAPLESS TRENRAB AND FEED FIRES THAT SWALLOW US WHOLE.
Blah blah blah, lets all get a big, group lobotomy.

And of course knowing good obscure banRAB make you cool. They're usually hard to find.

I still listen to My Chemical Romance and Green Day pretty frequently, among many other hated banRAB on rab. Eventually you just get used to the criticisims, and quit bothering to hide the fact you like crap banRAB.

I'd actually say the more obscure a prog. album is the more awesome it is, but yeah. :thurab:

But yeah, one Bob Marley record doesn't make you a reggae authoritarian figure.

I will defend banRAB like Cake and Barenaked Ladies til my last breath. I do agree with you on the reggae part though. I, sadly, know a lot of people who have that mentality. I own a few Ziggy Marley albums and a few other artists, but I wouldn't consider myself a regular reggae listener.
