as long as he only lifts up on end at a time it should be ok, i dont usually lift up both ends at once anyways no matter how strong the jack stands are.

the jack itself is more than capable of lifting his truck. thats a good birthday present by the way

Yes without a doubt. 1 ton is equal to 2000lbs maybe you know that already but it may ease your worries if you didn't.

I bought my husband a 2 1/4 ton jack and two 4 ton jack stands for his birthday would this be acceptable to jack up his truck for the 4 ton stands to hold his truck.
