Me too, back in the day. I totally shipped GSR. I remember Tina fey was like not going to happened but then all this stuff happened. She's rethinking about it. :P

I only saw bits of the new ep so far. I plan on watching it all tonight. From what I saw though, it looked good. Jack/Liz wise. :D

He didn't, actually, haha. They did a high-five and then a low five. Just like they do in Top Gun apparently...I haven't seen it

 Me neither (GS). It was too wrong. Totally icky. Although I'll be honest, I always was rooting for Warrick and Catherine... before he died. :(

Also probably a way for Tina to keep her promise that Jack and Liz would never happen.

The thing with shipping for me, is that I have to really love both characters to want them to be together. Individually they have to be wonderful as well as together.

I can't get onboard the whole Jack/Avery (I hated typing that:embarrassment:) thing, because I don't believe in them as a couple. I really don't like Avery as a character. She doesn't have the warmth and adorable character of Liz. I find her too aggressive and cold.

I've watched the Jack/Liz relationship develop throughout the seasons, seen it change and seen them become good friends. It's 'real' in the way that it has developed and it feels it. I just wish the writers would be brave and develop it further. The show would still be laugh out loud funny, but have heart and a solid core, which it seems to have lost lately.

I find it hard to accept that a man can be in love with two women at once, that doesn't fly with me I'm afraid. I believe that if Jack truely loved either woman, he wouldn't have been fooling around behind the others back.

The whole relationship just feels too forced for me. I've seen it before on programmes where writers force the chemistry between the characters and put them in a relationship. It doesn't work. This is what I feel the writers are doing to Jack/Avery. They don't have that chemistry, but because they don't want Jack/Liz in a relationship, it feels as though they are pushing the Jack/Avery relationship, especially by the pregnancy storyline.

Hope that makes sense.

He's going to realize it. But only in fan fiction. :sigh: That's what it looks like at least.

Cool, I'm glad you discovered the show :) I'm kinda new to the show also, I bought the s1-3 box sets and basically had a lot of 30 Rock marathons! :D

I'm a total Jack/Liz shipper, although I do love them as friends too. I just think they have great chemistry and would be perfect as a couple... if they could just see each other in that way!

 Thats awesome. I love Jack McBrayer. He's awesome. Those webisodes with Kenneth are wicked.

I know they really do!
I am up to season 4 it has just started over here
I had seen 30 rock ads on the tv all the time and I am a huge Tina Fey fan so my sister and I started to watch it and the rest as they say is history :D

 Me too. A fakeout for the fans would be something that 30 Rock would totally do.

It's awesome! They did it to raise money for the 30 Rock production assistants during the writers strike. Tina is the host, all the main cast are there to read their parts (but Edie Falco couldn't make it so one of the writers reads CC, which turns out even funnier as she is probably not someone who would be Jack's first choice). And Jack McBrayer and John Lutz do improv commercials in between scenes - hilarious! :D

I think unreadable is a word. :D

Gemma, you have some great points. I've enjoyed Jack and Liz's other love interests, but you're right about the chemistry. There's something there that isn't there with the others.

Carolyn, you're right. I try to be blase about my shipping b/c so many of my ships don't work out or never happen. But stuff like this brings out my shipper tendencies.
