J&M 7.25 Speaker Review

Okay, you can hear your bass at any spead, but you've got a very "custom system", and I dare to ask what you spent on it and how much bag space you've given up in doing it. As stated, the J & M system is plug and play and you're not giving up any space anywhere. And I'm guessing here, but I'm guessing that the J & M system has only been on the market for a few months so there aren't a lot of people familiar with it outside of the biking community, and they don't market for the car audio market. I've got this system and I'm very happy with it. You don't (have you ever had the J & M system) so why are you "hating on it"?? If you were a vendor and sponsor here and paid an amount of money to sell your product wouldn't you do your best to advertise your product???

First off,.....he SAID that know matter what , you couldn't hear the bass. That is a LIE.

Doesn't matter if it's "custom" , or what I spent. The J & M could never outperform it.

HE SAYS the J & M is the absolute best system available for your motorcycle.. That also is a LIE. Doesn't mater what mine cost , or "how much bag space" I lost.

The J & M pales in comparison.

Did I ever say that J & M were junk ?? NO !!! Does John offer GREATcustomer service on the forum ?? YES !!

I am not arguing those 2 points. DON'T GET IT TWISTED........

I am just tired of every speaker thread being hi-jacked with the " J& M is the best"....................when,...I can prove it's not.

I have no animosity toward any of the J & M gang. Obviously the care about you guys, their customers.

I just don't like people telling lies, to build up their product.

Not everyone is gonna like J & M, HogTunes, or HawgWired. SO WHAT !! We don't all like pineapples on our pizza either. Everyone has a different 'ear' for sound.

I'm sure they sound a lot better than stock.

Good luck with YOUR system. If YOU like it, THAT'S ALL THAT MATTERS !!

Glacierpearl,

I am an old school two channel stereo hobbyist. Most of the younger folks would not know quality sound if it hit them in the face. The use of Ipods and compressed CD music has taken away most of the joys of accurate sound reproduction. In fact, a person cannot buy quality stereo components today.......
Best Buy certainly does not have it and most of the quality stereo shops are closed. But I ramble..........

You appear to have built a quality system with quality components, but you have turned your bagger into something that cannot travel. Your luggage capacity is gone.

The J&M may not be the absolute best but it seems to be the best of the plug and play systems offered for our bikes.

Thanks for sharing your system. Your project is very interesting.

First off,...............we aren't talking about traveling. We are talking about sound systems. I fully understood, when I built my project, that I was limiting my space. I seldom take a trip that is longer than 2 day affair, but like to listen to my system EVERY time I ride.

Which has ALWAYS been my point. I have no ill will toward ANYONE or anyone's bike. I've admitted that J & M has guys on here that are SUPER at what they do, AND the system, ( amp & speakers), must be a decent sounding system or people would quit buying them. I'm sure that most people that go this route are more than happy.

My point was : The J & M , or HawgWired, or HogTunes are NOT the best sounding speakers/amps that are available, money not-withstanding. Nothing more, nothing less.

Thank you. I think that everyone that does any customising to their bikes, creates some sort of interest.

Thank God that eveyone was created differently, or you guys would ALL be riding Pearl White Ultras with way too expensive sound systems !!

Ride on, Rock on , and be SAFE doing it !!

After reading through the long list of back and forth arguments between people, I have seen little data other then "IMO" this is great as like assholes everyone has one. however the numbers are what matters, so this quote struck me as alittle odd. To me this makes no sense, If the measurement was taken ten inches off the seat then this would mean my guts get a great increase in sound! I am interested to hear what the improvement would be at, lets say.....well ear level would be a good place to start! You know the holes in your head that you hear from. I want make an upgrade in my sound but want to see some numbers and facts.

With the J&M 7.25" fairing speaker upgrade, with the decibel meter placed 10" above the seat, you will see an increase of between 5 and 8 dB over the stock Harley speakers ,,,,, quite a bit more with the J&M 250w amp driving them ,,,,,,

Four posts and all you've got to say is smart-assed shit? If none of this thread makes any difference to you than just go spend your money on whatever you want and then live with it.

Not anechoic, but numbers and graphical representation along with a dose of "IMO" also...
