Guys I have the speakers and amp and am really pleased witht he sound. However, the mounting bracket for a 2009 Harley Ultra Classis sucks. It doesn't work without damaging your headlamp if you have the CB radio. It knocked out my headlamp and I had to replace it. I finally had to reinstall the amp on top instead of the way designed to keep from damaging my head lamp each time my fairing was reinstalled.

Glad you are pleased with the sound results. The amp is designed to be mounted on top of the headunit with the J&M primary top mounting bracket. The secondary bracket is to be used below the factory headunit to cradle the XM and/or CB modules. This is the first I have heard of the headlamp being knocked out. According to your above listed comments, it seems that you mounted the amp below the headunit instead of above the headunit.

Am I missing something here?

The amp was mounted on top. The CB was mounted in the lower brackets. The CB connection and wire extend out longer. It was the CB connector that was knocking out the the head light. We had to remount to the CB.

wyn925 ,,,,,

I am sorry that you have had problems with mounting, but is it possible that you did not get the CB module slid all the way in place and secured into the J&M amplifier mounting bracket system, when you installed it ? ,,,,

please let me know what you find ,,,,

Please excuse my ignorance here but if these are 7.25" and stock is 5.25" then is there any modifications to fitting them in the 5.25" holes?
