Just finished installing the J&M 7.25 speakers with the Amp on my 09 SG. It went pretty smooth, took a couple hours. The instructions could have been a little clearer. They were not bad, but they make you think, sometimes I don't like to do that. The outer fairing was a little difficult to put on with the foam padding in it. Before I finished I took it back off to make sure I wasn't pinching any wires, everything was fine, you just have to compress the padding some, not really a problem, and that will probably wear in with time. When I turned the radio on it had a different sound and sounded okay, nothing special. I started to wonder if I wasted my money. I took the bike out for a ride before the rain started, turned the music up a little, sounded pretty normal, clearer for sure, but I didn't notice the amp doing anything. Then I picked up speed and turned the volume up some more, then up again. It started sounding pretty good. Clear and loud and nowhere near topped out, only got it to about 5/8 volume for a while, then I had to turn it down it was about to blast me off the bike. That in most cases will be more than loud enough. So I found out the amp works. The speakers and amp work great, worth the money, you will not have any problems hearing every note doing 80mph. If these don't work for you, then you're well on your way to being deaf and you need ear plugs not a loud radio, these will just make you go deafer. But you will enjoy it for as long as you can hear because they are definitely loud and clear. In case you are wondering, it was classic rock and roll.
