J&M 7.25 Speaker Review

I was using Hog Tunes, a buddy talked me into the J&M 7.25's. No amp but I do have the tweeter bar.
Love em, If you need more sound-clarity @ 80mph than these babies, you need a hearing aid, buying a set for the wife's SG.
At 60 mph you'll turn the volume down.

Anybody bought the J&M amp yet????????????? Remarks.

DR. V-TWIN, $222. shipped to your door.

Capt. Mike are you running the stock Harley Radio Sound radio in your 05 with the J&M 7.25s? You are the only one I have been able to find in this post that bought the 7.25s for the early model bike, 05 & earlier. Is the volume quite a bit louder than either the stock or the Hog Tunes speakers? I've got a 2000 & I'm trying to figure out what route to take, thanks for the input.

NizZ8,

You are most welcome, sir. It was a pleasure speaking with you today! Enjoy the speakers when you get them!

tjs529,

Road Glide amp is coming from J&M on or around April 15, 2010. We will have them on the shelf as soon as they are released from J&M.

Capt. Mike,

Glad you are enjoying the J&Ms. I too went from Hogtunes to the J&Ms and I couldn't be happier!

THANK YOU JOHN @ J&M for bringing these speakers to market!

Shawn

Anyone running the 7.25's with a Hogpod? I am wondering if it wouldn't be to much of the high's. I already have the Hogpod painted and installed or I would just get the J&M's and be done with it. Any input from anyone who has BOTH installed would be appreciated.

I'm running both Hogtunes Tweeter pod as well as the J&M 7.25" front speakers...they really kind of compliment each other...course I have not heard just the J&M's by themselves either...B

If I buy the new Amp and the Hogpod Tweeter Pod do I run the 7.25's and the Hogpod off the Amp?

Can the Hogpod handle that much power or would I just run the pods directly off the radio and the 7.25's off the Amp?

????/

Tweeter pods are rated at 50W RMS. You could do it either way although I'd hook it up after the new amp even with the added power. More so than power, it's distortion that kills speakers so as long as you listen carefully and don't overpower anything to distortion you should still be safe. Many people will use an amplifier double that of speakers rated power to be sure they are feeding them clean undistorted power.

The tweeter pod simply connects using "Y" cables off the leads to the speakers.

Ok i just got a 2010 SG in Denim Black and was about to order the HOGPOD but now i see these speakers, so let me get this correct, should i order both the HOGPOD and the JM? or should i just order the JM and be done with it till the AMP comes out? i really would buy both if it is worth it and will make a difference, if not i will just get the JM and then the AMP, also i want to order This coming WED, where can i get em from at the lowest price? Looks like these JM'S are gonna make me one happy smiling puppy, thanks in advance....Ivan!

Congrats on the new ride! If it were me, I'd save some $$$ by buying the J&M's first. If you decide you are still needing additional higher frequencies then order the HogPod later. Both are rather simple installs so it wouldn't be too much of a hassle adding either at a later date.

The amp will make a big difference in terms of power and punch and maybe more importantly louder volume levels with less distortion.

We have most all these in stock (with exception of amp as of today) and orders placed for in stock items before 4 PM PST can ship same day in most situations.
