Its not the $2.05, Its the point... keeping it a secret allows them or anyone who does bussiness like this to charge what they want when they want. I will pay full price from JM before I give them a dime! I am not dogging the product....just the place that is selling them at random prices.

I apologize for that. It wasn't a random price at all. That price was our old price. I think Drew was used to the $222.00 shipped price as that was our price on them for quite sometime and it seems that it was an honest mistake. Had you wanted to call us and order the speakers, you would have gotten them at the $219.95 shipped price. We have taken more than several orders from forum guys thinking it was $222.00 shipped and we let them know of the price drop and they were even happier. Yes, it is a couple dollars, but we would never charge the higher price when an order is called in.
All of the other prices you got were accurate and the combo price was correct as well.
I am sorry that you feel the way you do, but ask anyone on the forum about us and you will see how well we take care of each and every member and we do our best to give them the lowest prices and the best service possible. Just search diligently and you will see that we aren't out to rip anyone off.
If there is anything we can ever do for you, please let me know and I will personally take care of you.

I can personally say that Dr V-twin will GO OUT OF THEIR WAY to give the best deal and make things right. They are getting a TON of pms about pricing and questions. I was going back and forth through PM with Drew very late one night during the awesome D&D sale they had, and Drew ACCIDENTLY mis quoted a price to me by looking up the wrong part number. When I brought it to his attention, he graciously beat the price by ALOT.. Sold me a fatcat system with ghost pipe FAR BELOW what ANYONE was able to sell it to me for. Drew and shawn are standup guys, and have earned my long term business. I will be calling them in about a week to order me up these J&Ms and recommend them to all my friends. Just my take on the situation.

I was convinced by a certain individual on this forum "the new J&M 7.25"
speakers will BLOW away ANYTHING Hogtunes has and could save me some
money,that the J&M 7.25 out performed the Hogtunes with an amp" well i feel i was mislead, the 7.25 are only a few DB louder then the stock without an amp. I needed louder (due to aftermarket pipes) and was completely disappointed with the lack of "louder". Now i have to go and buy an amp which is ~$200-$500.

I installed my set last night with the Elf Audio amp. Getting the fairing back on is a pain!! I also used the acoustic padding that came with them from DRVTWIN. I think it may be hitting the back of the speakers causing some issues with fairing fit. I'm not sure what I'm going to do about that. The good news is the speakers do sound good. To say that they don't distort like some other posts have said is not accurate in my opinion, but I like them. I rode to my dealer today before work and one of the tech's is sold on them after hearing mine. Hotel California has awesome definition now, especially for a motorcycle. I don't know if my fit issues are personal or widespread, but I'm pleased with the speakers themselves.
Just making sure everyone understands....I am not bashing the speakers or any individual....just the way this has all gone down, secretive pricing is never good for anyone because of things like this....if its all out in the open, there cant be any misunderstandings! best of luck to all ....

All I can say is that I bought the 7.25 speakers with no amp and it's way louder than stock speakers!
My 7.25s sound great, loud pipes ,70mph and full face can here them great but must say the HD head unit BLOWS ,when IPOD is hooked up sound is great but play CD or FM must have it way turned up thats also why Im waiting for the AMP to improve the HD head and I like blasting out some tunes while riding.
