J&M 7.25 Speaker Review

Holy Sh!t Sherlock.......I still can't hear.....what did you say ?? Speak up.
Finally had the chance to take my 7.25" new Roadie speakers for a test ride...
Santa brought them, and I've been chomping at the bit ever since.

Temps were lower 50's with a steady breeze out of the northeast at 15 to 20mph......I loaded a disc into the mp3 player and headed for the back roads and fresh air.

Skynyrd, ZZ Top, Springsteen, Allman Bros., and AC DC to name just a few, totally drowned out the deep growl coming from my Rush 2" slip ons at 70 mph.

Shawn.........these beauties totally rock !!!!!!!! My head is still thumping from the guitar riffs and ivory pounding I listened to this afternoon.

Maybe next ride I'll slack back a notch or two to save my hearing for future years use.

My new J&Ms arrived today. I installed them and took it for a long ride. These speakers rock!. Installation was a breeze (took less than an hour) and the sound quality is SO much better than the stock speakers. Good tweet, midrange and bass quality. They sounded great at highway speeds, with and without earplugs, and just cruising the back roads. I highly recommend getting these if you are looking for an upgrade. I do not need a booming system, just quality sound. No need to add an amp for my system, its perfect now.
Thanks Phat Performance for great service!!

Bought complete systom for Harley Herritage Softtail Classic. Worked good for a year. Then one speaker developed a humm/buzz. Returned the speaker to J & M. They returned it saying there was nothing wrong with it. Re-installed speaker and same buzz existed. I called them and requested they exchange the entire unit under my warranty. They would not. I took the whole system off and returned it to J & M. They returned it saying there was nothing wrong with it. i reinstalled it and it had the same buzz. I called the owner of J & M and requested he exchange my unit for a new one. He said it would not be profitable business for them to do this. He did offer to exhange my unit to a newer system for $250.00 extra. Keep in mind, my unit was still under warranty. I paid $500.00 for the unit, and now have another $50.00 in freight. I'm sure not going to spend another $250.00 to exhange a unit under warranty for a newer system. I have discontinued using this system and when I decide what I want, will by another brand and start over. I do not recommend J & M and feel they will not stand behind their product. Beware.

Silverslider, I'm so stoked to hear you are happy with them. Thanks so much for taking the time to post the review along with the kind words. We truly appreciate it. Please let us know if there is anything else we can ever help with and we'll be happy to do so.

Did a short 150 mile ride today to check out the J & M 7.25's (in the fairing, powered by the Radio) along with the Fairing lower Hogtunes speakers with amp. UNF%$#ING BELIEVABLE! At 85MPH crystal clear and loud without any distortion. Got it all from Dr. V-Twin, great service, great price, great sound!

Shawn,

How much for the J&M amp, if I want to add it AND, is it compatible with the Hogtunes lowers with amp, as far as setup and fit inside the fairing. Bike is a 2010 Street Glide.
