J&M 7.25 Speaker Review

You guys should relook at your install, I put em on the 08 Ultra (5.5's with tweeter grills) and on 10 CVO Ultra (7.25's with grill) and my first time install went like you said so I undid and re routed the grill wires and found the cut out and both sets no bind or rub anywhere. Un think the way you think they should be routed and try again, I think you'll both find a sucessfull install. I'm jus sayin'.

Opposum I willl take your advice and UNTHINK....I will remove the fairing this weekend and double check..easy enough to do.

They shouldn't break any brackets - the J&M's are the lightest high end speakers I have ever seen!

All I did was plug the wires onto the appropriate spade terminals

Harley dealer installed the Amp originally. But I would guess the Tweeterpods wouldn't benefit much by an Amp, I could be wrong and I'm sure someone will set me straight if that is the case.

i just bought a pair of 7.5 and waiting for it to be delivered.The thread about the tweeter wire has to go through the indent. does the instructions tell you how to route the wire. dos it have diagrams or pictures or i just to have to figure this out for myself?

I routed as the pic showed. With the wires from the tweeters towards the inside of the fairing. And the speaker spades towards the inside of the fairing. There is a small indent but it is very small.

Cooper57m, just as Willetts1 said, it will be obvious. It's a rather simple install. I just took my time to ensure I didn't strip anything out.

My wife and both got the 7.25's in Daytona - she got the amp, but I had a compatibility issue with my radio and the amp. Apparently, it is a random thing with certain stock Harley units and John assures me he is working on the fix.

Regardless, they sound great even without an amp and they absolutely rock with one. John and his guys went above and beyond the call with the customer service as well. I will wait patiently (yeah, right) for the problem resolution so I can add the amp. It is not good that my wife's stereo sounds better than mine. Nope, not good at all.

Love my 7.25's LOUD but I'm still going to put an amp in.

UPS delivered 7.25 today, i'm going to install without amp and see if it sounds as good as some people say. I'm a cynic at heart. I'll report back in a few days.
