Brad ,,,,,

exactly right ,,,, if you go back a few pages on this thread, you will see that I have been recommending the Arc Audio Mini amp for a while now ,,,,,

for those that don't want to spend the extra $$ for the new J&M plug-n-play amplifier kit with the fancy J&M SS bracketry etc ,,,, just go buy the Arc Audio Mini for the best price you can find ,,,,,

either way,, the J&M 7.25" speakers absolutely ROCK with these amps ,,,,,

bradssg.....

Not to get into a pissing match with you.......

I completely agree with you in that the additions add "SOME" value and your absolutely right in saying it's an individuals choice...............

However you quote the Arc amp as 329 retail...both you and I know that anyone can pick it up for under 300 easily so in fact J&M is charging me $150 dollars ( $499 less 10 % Bike week discount- IN DAYTONA) for plug and play convenience...meaning I have a bracket, which for the batwings is completely unnecessary ( sits very nicely on top of stock radio with or without velcro and/or zip ties) , and I don't have to connect 5 wires with connectors or solder...wow how generous....

As for the Elf reference, basically all I'm saying is that if I'm getting a clone of the Arc ks125.2 mini which the Elf is, and as I mentioned earlier, which I truly beleive the J&M amp is, then why wouldn't I just buy the ELF and save 300 dollars.......

Listen don't get me wrong I believe that J&M is a good company, a good site sponsor and they have some very good products, but first of all for the past several months both them and Dr. V Twin have been insinuating that their 7.25 speakers sound just as good as other speakers with amps and that's just not true.....now they're pushing their amp, which they have every right to do...and yes JMJOHN did mention the ARC amp combined with thier speakers is a good option, however I just thought it was complete BS when they first announced their price of $529 less 10 % bike week discount, then lowered it t $499 less 10 % bike week discount.

As far as I'm concerned they're asking loyal customers to overpay for their product.......I just wanted to let other forum members know that there are other options out there....and yes everyone certainly has the option to overpay for whatever they want....................

J&M 7.25 Speaker Review

agent267 ,,,,,

until you see the fairly complex design of the SS bracketry system for mounting our amp in the BatWing Fairing, including the Ultra, with the sanitary relocation of the XM and CB modules ,,,, you may not entirely understand or appreciate what it adds to the costs ,,,

no one is asking you or any forum member to overpay for anything, but those with real experience in this area, know how many "chop-job" amplifier installations are performed each day on these Harleys ,,,,, J&M will not treat it

gee JMJOHN....thanks so much for this magic bracket, now all of us ordinary guys without the "real experience" you mention, who have installed the Arc or any other Amp can fix our "chop shop" installations with this wonderfull product. My Harley also thanks you....

Bottom line here is you put it best, you're entitled to your OPINION as I'm entitled to mine...PERIOD...

And I think I've clearly voiced my opinion which appears to differ from yours..........

Of course only one of us really has a vested interest here.......

Anyways good luck and I truly hope you sell millions of dollars worth of your product...........

May I also suggest that once you GUESS at your true cost, if it ends up being less than what you first GUESSED so people could "benefit from this really cool installation", you refund them the difference...

Well John,

I have installed the 7.25's I got from Shawn Dr. Vtwin and replaced the Hogtunes speakers without an amp and I am THOROUGHLY impressed Great kit and great sound. At some point I'll add an amp, but it will be a small one. I for one like to pay more for a "CLEAN plug and play" option when it comes to my FLHTC because I like ease of install and hate clutter and "chop jobs". Keep up the good work and post some pics when you can. I'll miss Daytona this year. Thanks to you and Shawn

Did you also change the rear speakers in your ultra or just replace the fronts with the J & M's? If only the fronts hows the sound?

i wouldnt mind a pair of tester 7.25" here for Canada... i currently have HT with amp setup... ill promise to adveristis the J&M's when i go to the weekly coffee nights at my local dealer.... any chance ?

Well I found myself looking at these speakers at the Vtwin show in Cincinnati. After some looking and comparing, and being one that likes a simple plug and play install, I ordered me a set from Dr.Vtwin yesterday. Only down side so far is I want them NOW and hate to wait for shipping...such is life. I will get back on here and yap about likes/dislikes when I get em.
