was at cycle show in cleveland, ohio this past weekend. I had purchased 7.25's from dr. twin (who I truely reccommend), so I asked rep. from J&M about amplifier...he said they would have a set up at Daytona bike week and the amp would be $125.00. I hope this is true...just passing on what I was told.

Just installe dmy new speaker and they do sound a lot lounder then stock with no amp. Easy install, just need the weather to break to hear the sound on the road. Thanks Shawn!

edpanz ,,,,,

the J&M amp will be 125 watts per channel ,,, NOT $125 ,,,,,

price target for the complete kit is $399-$499 ,,,,,, including custom plug-n-play wiring harness, specially made SS brackets to remount the CB and/or XM radio module if so equipped ,,, all hardware etc, made specifically for the Harley Fairing install ,,,,,,

target release date 03-30/2010 ,,,,

We will be DEEPLY stocking the new J&M amp when it is released. We are looking to stock as many as we possibly can. We will do our best to offer the lowest price on the amp once we have them on the shelf!

Thanks for the update and info, John!

Sorry that I misconstrued what I thought I heard at the Cleveland bike show...he did say 125 amps...sorry for telling you the wrong price...I still haven't installed my 7.25s, waiting for my new windshield, as I am changing my inner fairing also all at one time. In ohio all we can do is upgrade during the winter months.

I'm with you Scubadog. $400-$500 bucks for an amp is over the top for a motorcycle. Between the speakers, amp and maybe an internal antenna and your into it for close to a g-note.
I was planning on buying the speakers and thought I might hold off looking for a package deal with the amp but not at that price.

John, any thoughts on Scubadogs request?
