JMJOHN,

Good tip! I totally didn't even think about the SAT radio receiver line output level.

lawnmower man,

We are glad you are very happy with the J&M speakers! It was our pleasure speaking with you and answering your questions. It was no problem at all.

FLTRX,

I will find out for you for sure when J&M opens back up tomorrow whether they have the Road Glide speakers available to ship to us. If they do, we will make sure to get a shipment of them coming to us ASAP. If they are available, you can place your order with us and we will ship them when we get our first shipment of them in stock.

Thanks!

Shawn

I've read all 22 pages of this thread. The J&M's sound promising and it should be interesting on how they sound on a RG seeing how the shape of the fairing is different.

I've run through 3 different set-up so far, (stock/ Hogtunes speakers in 08/ new 902.2 Hogtunes w/amp in 09) so I'm really interested on how much of an improvement these will bring. Although I like the Hogtunes product, and Pez is great for customer service and a great product, I was a little disappointed in the difference between the last 2 systems. A little too little base for my liking and a little too much distortion when above 1/2 volume. It's not the set-up ( Bass @ 1 over Mid/ Treble @ 2 over mid/ AVS @ 1) Most of my music is MP3's burnt to a disk with most at 320 quality.

I'd really like to see some reviews when they are available. Unfortunately, riding season is coming to an end for me here in the Great White North and wouldn't be able to give them a road test till spring. I'd love to hear them preform hitched up to my existing amp for a comparison.

Well I got the J&m speakers put in along with the hog pod. sound is ok I thought there would be a little more bass out of it. seems like J&M uses a filter or CAP. to cut off the low bass. sounds like it has to much mid bass and not enough low bass. its a lot louder. I went with this set up because I did not want to add an amp. well now I may be looking for an amp and some different speakers. Just my $.02

How do they sound compared to the stock set up though? I would think that you would at the very least see a 50 % improvement. I know, stupid question, but thought that I would ask, as I'm contemplating the very same set up for my S G.

I have to admit...when I first installed them a few days ago, I wasn't blown away like many have reported here. But after a few days with them now, and able to liten to them at various levels at various speeds, they are a marked improvement over stock...especially in midrange (cleaner vocals).

I believe they will come alive when fed with an amp...especially in the lower end...and waiting to see what J&M will offer to match with the speakers

RcPilot ,,,,

disconnect the HogPod and see if the bass response of the J&M 7.25's comes thru ,,,,,

I think all the hogPod is doing is adding even MORE mids-highs right ? ,,,, and I don't think that is what any of us want to hear ,,,,,

please let me know what you find ,,,

just installed mine this past weekend.
easy to install and sound great in my garage..
on the road at 75-80 mph they sound much better than stock, but not amazing. like everyone said, it needs a bit more bass.
i listened to a little zz top, country, charlie brechtal and whatever i could find on the radio. it all sounded better than stock and well worth the money spent.
the biggest difference i saw was when i put the satellite radio on and started listening to howard stern. the voices came through loud and clear.
hopefully an amp will be available soon, but until then i am still happy with the purchase.

Im not a tester but I will say I have herd a lot of different setups in audio and will say these speakers rock! I have had amps and different speakers and nothing has compaired hands down to these speakers. Trust me I know Im only 25 and love my music! I cut back from having 4 speakers only to 2 on my 06 Street Glide... I had to wait for a lil over a month to get these right when they came out and am so glad I waited on them to come out! I can crank them bad boys down the interstate at 100mph+ and all I here is clear music and of course the ole HD lovin me! I have had times where I have had to turn my radio down cause they no joke have giving me a head ache from being so damn loud! Only other thing that gives me that is my 44mag.. Well worth the investmate guys if yall like good clear music I know I sure as hell do prob the only reason Im on a bad ass street glide cause othewise im still young I like speed but had to relize I had to slow down before I made just another big splat in the road!
