J&M 7.25 Speaker Review

Sorry I do not live near Phoenix so I can not help you out. I do live near Eugene, OR and would be more than willing to try to connect with someone in this area and let them hear the 7.25" J&M speakers.

I'm testing. I've put almost 1000k miles on these speakers mostly on the freeway doing 80 mph. They are very loud and super clear. Anything under 70 and I'm turning them down. I would think most would think these are fine just as they are. These are the best sound I have ever found for a bike.

The ones that want an amp are always going to be searching for more. Just like the ones that say a 103 isn't big enough.

For some of us the price point to performance is an issue. These speakers I think if you get the forum discount which puts you at about half price the Arc set up are a great bang for the buck and you won't be disappointed.

As ranman had posted earlier could we see posted the full factory specs on these speakers including sensitivity? Based on what I've gathered so far it sounds like these speakers are positioned as replacement speakers for a stock factory Harley headunit(no external amp) is this true? If these speakers are amp friendly what kind of peak power can they take?

The speakers are rated at 140 watts. They sound great without an amp, but if you add an amp, you can run a good amp like the Biketronics Titan BT480 or Hawg Wired equivalent. They are designed to run with the stock Harman/Kardon headunit, but J&M does state that you can run them with an external amp with no problem. I just installed them in my 09 Street Glide today and I can tell you that you really don't need an amp.

Ok thanks DR.-VTWIN for your prompt reply. I've tried finding specs for these speakers but if you got a link to the full specs post a link. Is anyone going to be demo'ing these at Daytona Biketoberfest in Oct. I'd like to hear em?
