Now that my gap year after high school has almost finished, I'm faced with the (extremely) difficult decision of choosing between going to college (Dartmouth) or continuing competing on Team USA in my own winter sport. I have been guaranteed a minimum of two senior International assignments if I continue. Dartmouth only allows one year of deferral. Sadly, it isn't possible to do both at once so something has to give.
I realize that this is a personal decision, and I have my reasons for doing either over the other (does that make any sense? xP). I know I could include a lot of other factors (money, interest level and so on) but I'm leaving it pretty bare-bones so as to not appear biased in one way or another. Since there isn't a definitive answer to this question, I'm just looking for opinions that will help me in my decision.
