What books can you recommend? For instance, would Walden be a good start? What makes this book by Thoreau so great? What are some other great reads for a high school reader? What characterizes transcendentalism? What can I get out of it? I loved the movie Into the Wild, and I'm hoping to find out what my purpose in life is. Thanks for any suggestions.
