ISO WHEY PROTEIN powder(31 GM)? i am disabled and on steroids, their main side-effect beiing excesssive weight gain(50-100 pounds)...
When they removed my teeth(dec.9 08)because of the steroids(i also have 5 herniated disks supposedly from the steroids..my endocrinologist says STEROIDS EAT YOUR BONES!..
Anyhow, i lost 32 pounds in 7 months by eating 1 ZONE DIET meal(lean protein, several veggies and half cup organic brown rice, and a healthy fat(avacado, flax oil, mainly i use toasted pumpkin seeds called peppitas. now the isowhey is expensive..$100. for a bottle lasting 1-2 months, and i am running low. a friend gave me another product which is for GAINING WEIGHT!..CALLED MUSCLE JUICE 2544L, containing a wopping 55g protein compared to the 31 in isowhey.
is anybody knowledgable(perhaps body builders may know if i can have the muscle juice without gaining weight. it is of course the combination of protein and OTHER INGREDIENTS, that helps you gain weight, specifically the fat and carb ratio, which is protein 55g.^fat 17g, and carb 162. If you compare it with my weight losing isowhey(by interactive nutrition), which is protein 31 g, free of fat and 1g of carbs., plus digestive enzymes..the fact i mix it with a cup of frozen fruit,half cup yogurt, half cup of milk, a product like greens plus.
Now i cant excercise other than short walks, in fact have just ordered an electrical scooter or chair...
so is there any point in my taking the muscle juice powder, which body builders take at 4 times the amount, 2-3 times a day..any suggestion or comment would be helpful..
i dont want to loose more weight, as i am already 2 pounds under goal weight, and am getting saggy skin under my arms.
