I've just got back from a special FREE screening of The Wolfman!! Got a code frm The Daily Star and you could get up to 2 tickets free. I love free stuff!! :D:D

I think the point of free screenings is that you tell everyone how great the film was, then they have to pay for their tickets. It's like viral marketing, only with a real virus if you don't wash your hanRAB afterwarRAB.

Not my kind of movie really, a typical werewolf movie. It was watchable but very predictable. Definately think Amerian Werewolf in London, but not as tongue in cheek, don't think it will go down as a classic, but for free, I can't complain.

I saw this at an advanced screening yesterday.

Good - Acting, visual effects in general, setting and atmosphere, the pace of the film, the language used by the characters, in particular the fantastically long old-fashioned worRAB used by Weaving's character

Bad - Simplistic and highly predictable plot, The Wolfman's face... sort of like something out of Planet of the Apes

Definitely worth seeing, but you'll forget it soon after.

Compared to a lot of slash horror there isn't a tanker full of blood but there is lots in it. You have diesmbowlments, various limb removals, slashes and bites. There it quite a lot of blood.

I thought the metamorphosis wasn't as good as An American Werewolf in London. Because there is so much CGI used I felt it loses it's impact.
I found it over storylined in parts and was wondering why bother with this stuff at all?

I'm going to guess that the writers or the main writer was American. You have something grizzly happen out in the countryside of England so they send Inspector Aberline to investigate. Just incase people watching didn't recognise the name they even make a point of explaining who he is. You're the man who failed to catch Jack the Ripper a few years ago.
I'm guessing they couldn't think of an original surname to call a British copper somehow.

Art Malik was a strange casting choice and IMO wasted in this movie.

As Brob1 says. Worth seeing, but it is easily forgotten soon after. I saw it this afternoon and parts of it are slipping from my memory already.

I would rate it 6/10

Saw this earlier tonight - utter tripe! Possibly one of the worst movies i've seen so far this year.

Del Toro the Wolfman did his thing which was quality, Emily Blunt looked pretty and Sir Hopkins chewed the scenery with his lines but i wasn't having none of it. I just couldn't get into it. Sorry!

I thought it was pretty decent. The 'Wolfy' parts were really excited.

I loved the blood, gore and 'The Wolfman's look. Quite jumpy too.

Felt the plot was really predictable and ALOT more could have been done with the characters and story.

Saw this last night, truly awful.

Storyline was predictable from the first 10 minutes, the wolf was a joke...i could pick up a better costume than that in my local fancy dress shop. Honestly i turned to my partner half an hour in and said i don't think i can watch any more. Really disappointed!!!

Question is will there be The Wolf Man 2?

A lot of people will think they can't but the film had a major mistake in it. I'll put it in the spolier so as not to ruin it for people.
At the start of the film they said once you are bitten by the wolf you become one. Inspector Aberline was bitten when attacked by Talbot in the house. At the end he is covered in blood holding where he was bitten. So that means he is now a Lycan

Because they do like making sequels and turning things into franchises I can see them doing one, although I'm not sure it will work.
