I've downloaded 'flash' but it's saying I haven't downloaded it!!?

I was able to watch videos ok before, but today I tried to and it said I needed to download flashplayer. I downloaded it, but still, when i try to watch videos it's saying i need to download it when I already have!! I cant find it on my computer though. i dont know whats wrong, please help x
 
I agree with the kid below me and also if your are running firefox as your internet browser you might just be downloading the file but not installing the .EXE file
