Yes, the original design is probably owed to Vetter. Seriously, does anyone think the MoCo innovated it? The factory hasn't been innovating anything for years, they copy what's being done on the street.
Such as: Monochroming in the later 90s, Street Glide, Nightster, Street Bob... Were all being done on the street. I wish I had pics of my stripped down 99 FXDC; I about crapped myself when the Street Bob came out and was the spitting image of a bike I put together out of take offs and "factory" parts half a dozen years earlier when I was still involved with the dealer. I swear the factory rep spent way too much time looking at it
