What use to be a very well kept secret is now beginning to take a small market
share of the touring market. Well, I guess it was going to happen sometime down
the road. I like my Fugly too...............hdman
 
I think people look for something new and different. Street Glides became popular at first, but now there are so many they have become common. And everywhere you look you see EG Ultras. It seems from what I've read on here, the RG may become the new popular bike to buy.
 
May become popular, or not so popular... but bottom line for me is, the Road Glide is most definitely my preferred bike because it just handles so magnificently. Isn't it great to have a bike that you love so much that nothing else is even tempting! That's what I love about my Roadie... doesn't matter what the MoCo comes out with, cool as they may be, I'm completely content with my bike. Of course, a few years from now, that could change...
 
Funny the road glide has been around over a decade...

Its been touted as the best handling touring harley for years, but I think many wanted to make sure the styling wasn't a fad and its taken a while for it to grow on many.
 
I know, but you missed my point. Even older bikes can all of a sudden become more popular when they become more acceptable. In the past they had the fugly label. Now, they are becoming more acceptable as far as their look.
 
Who would ever buy such an ugly bike?! People stop buying these bikes!
