I've beat Resistance and GOW

I own them both.
GOW looks amazing. Much better than Resistance. All together, it is a much more polished game than Resistance.
But I found Resistance harder to put down. It's a really good game. It's got a cool story and is fun as hell. The weapons are better too. Slow-mo sniper ftw.
Both games are awesome. Any sackriders are really missing out. Too bad PS3 was so much money.

i like the demo of resistance, except how it pauses for the weapon switch is kind of lame, i was hoppin for some type of scroll, but cool graphics, cool weapons. definatly having my girlfriend pick that game up for me
 
Yeah, I found it really entertaining. I beat it on easy, but after that if you go through it again on a harder setting, you get even more weapons
 
PWii60 crew here. FPS's aren't my thing but I do own GoW. Haven't had a chance to play it much since my xbox is dead and awaiting service. I do enjoy Motorstorm and GT:HD. Ridge racer is okay
 
Got them both. Beat GoW in like 2 days but never beat Resistance. I got halfway through and lost my save (formatted without thinking about it) and didn't want to start over
 
I don't own a PS3 or reistance but spent about an hour and a half playing it at a friends houe (Single player campaign). IMO FPS's don't feel like real games after playing Gears of War. Thats a result of one thing, the 3rd person cover system. After playing Gears of War, and how everytime you take cover the player rams his shoulder into the wall and you hear the noise and feel a vibration, I feel like I'm just standing out in the open when I'm playing an FPS standing behind a wall or something. Its the same with CoD3, Resistance, Halo2 after going back and playing it (and I used to spend so much time playing Halo 2). Everything feels like I'm just open to shots and just standing in thier line of fire.

I just hope this doesn't ruin Halo 3 for me .
 
I just got my ps3, which completes the criteria for the pswii60 crew.

But, honestly, resistance is fucking crack to me. I cant put the game down, online is a fucking blast, and the more i play it the more im amazed at just how HUGE the levels are, the detail, etc. I do love GOW, but online mp with that game is garbage. 4 people? Seriously. The SP was cool, and i was like WOW the whole time, but ther is -zero- replay value for me on that title, other than the achievements.

If it only used 2 spe's and more games to come are like this, we are sure in for a treat.
 
I compleyely dissagree with your statement regarding GoW. The 4 on 4 combat happens fast enough that it all balences out, I think it'd just be a huge stupid frag tag/shotgun fest if they did 8v8 or anything along those lines. Even on the bigger maps
 
I beat GoW and played the Resistance demo. GoW's graphics are much better (as they should be), but the gameplay is a little "meh" as are the weapons. Resistance's weapons made the game a lot of fun.
