I've applied my brake several times to get my 2001 acura mdx out of park.

The gear shift is stuck. Help.? My gear shift wont get out of park. I keep applying the brake, but nothing. It wont move out of park. Im not on an incline or anything. And where is the shift lock release on a 2001 acura mdx?
 
check your brake light switch, it might be connected to a solenoid that allows the gear selector to release.
