ive a problem with my sat nav?

I have a rac 300 sat nav with a 512mb sd card i formated the card and installed my software now ive lost my colours etc and it says ive no space left to put more software on if i get a 1gb sd card and install it again would that work and where have my colours gone and all the extras i had please help.
 
It would be much safer and more sensible to ask the manufacturer or supplier. Anything you do to the instrument might cause more problems and then your pocket would suffer.
