ITV - Real Crime: The Cat and Mouse Killer

Exactly! The loft as well where he apparently stabbed the corpse seven times so as to drain blood before mutilating the body. It makes no sense, does it?

None at al, it seems as if no forensics were attempted in the property, I wonder why? were they fooled by him? got suckered in by his story that she had simply disappeared? We have seen it before in other cases.

Also what shocked me is why her family did not report her missing for 57( I think ) days, were they also tricked by this evil man into thinking she was ok and had gone away for a while??

The thing is though that the police went into the apartment and searched it and removed certain items. Why did they not do a thorough forensic search during their visit(s)?

If it had been a foreign case, you'd bet the ITV programme makers would have been interested in the apparent failures of the investigating team. Sigh!

I think he only confessed so his brother would share some of the burden of blame - I think had he done it all himself he would never have admitted it.

Shocking programme. It was chilling to see the cool and calmness of that poor girls partner/killer, parading himself around tv shows, loving all the attention he was getting fooling everyone with his far-fetched story. Like another poster has mentioned, if he was such a prime suspect, why on earth did they not check his house for forensic evidence, which must have been everywhere considering the evil scumbag cut her up in the bath and then stored her in the loft. Beyond belief, hope he gets what he deserves
