When I plug my iPhone into the computer, it picks up the camera but iTunes doesn't open at all. Even when I open it myself, it just doesn't pick up my phone. Absoloutly nothing comes up. I've tried all the USB ports and still nothing. I'm using Windows XP and itunes version 9.0. My phone is the original iPhone. I've never updated my software, even though I know I need to but I can't even update it now that itunes isn't picking it up! So I can't put any new songs on, get any apps etc. I badly need to update my software on my phone so can someone tell me please how to get itunes to pick up the iPhone? Thank you.

first of all, this has happened to me before.
basically, he cable had snapped inside.....and when i used a new one, it worked fine
if u have already tried more than one cable, make sure the coputer has FULLY loaded before you attempt to plug it in...my friend always does it too quickly and it never works for hr (but i told her what to do now)
if this doesnt help, then sorry, and you could try phoning apple. their numpber is on their website
