itunes , iphone , ringtones question?

well i want to put free ringtones on my iphone im looking at videos on youtube to see how its done they all keep leading up to the same thing i need to drag the song after i have formatted it into the ring tone option on my itunes but my itunes does not have the option where it says ring tones how can i do so i can get it the option so i can drag the song there
